The EMMES Corporation manages this web site as part of our contract (Data Coordinating Center for Clinical Research in Infectious Disease (CRID), HHSN272200800013C) with the Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (DMID) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The site is password-protected and contains information relating to various DMID-sponsored studies. The web site provides access to the study protocols, source documents, reports, Manuals of Procedure (MOPs), rosters, and other relevant study materials. Also included is a link to AdvantageEDCSM (IDES), the Internet data entry system used to submit and audit data collected in the studies. Access to some information on the website is restricted.
Under the CRID contract, EMMES staff are responsible for collecting and analyzing data and for statistical consultation to DMID. Additionally, the CRID project staff maintain the AdvantageEDC system and GlobalTraceSM electronic specimen tracking system, generate and post data reports, create and post source documents and Manuals of Procedure, and manage the web site. Administrative and coordinating support for DMID includes activities such as scheduling conference calls and investigator meetings, distributing information, and coordinating study activities. The EMMES Corporation also conducts education and training sessions in-person and via webcast on data entry, source documentation and specimen tracking and coordinates other site management activities.
